Sneezle Beezle - a magical beach escape named after a Kiwi kid’s own book

Sneezle Beezle was written by Bruce Laybourn for his son, Dylan, who now lives with him in the Far North New Zealand paradise of Omapere

When Dylan was taken to Turkey as a 4-month-old baby by his mother, Bruce invented Sneezle Beezle as a means of teaching his wee boy English. Stories that intrigued Dylan were a sure way to ensure his English improved so father and son could communicate.

With Dylan devouring every English language book Bruce had been able to cram into his suitcase when travelling to Istanbul, he decided to write his own stories for his wee boy.

Dylan particularly loved the stories where he was a principal character.

Now 16-years-old, Dylan is fluent in English but still smiles at his memories of Sneezle Beezle

With Sneezle Beezle being such a focal point in their lives, Bruce & Dylan created apartments near Omapere Beach that honour the role that Sneezle Beezle played in lightening the mood during their tough 12-year journey to be together in their homeland.

All guests who stay at the Omapere Beach Apartments, home of Sneezle Beezle, are gifted a copy of the book.
